SRINAGAR, Nov 9: Indian troops on Friday gunned down four suspected militants, a military spokesman said.

Lt-Col J.S Brar said the armed militants were killed in a gunbattle in Keran region, some 150km from Srinagar. “An infiltration bid was foiled by the troops on the Line of Control by killing the four militants,” Col Brar said, referring to the heavily-militarised de facto border dividing the Indian and Pakistani zones of the Himalayan region.
