BADIN, Jan 4: Five highwaymen looted the passengers of a Karachi-bound coach (GA-8692) near here on Saturday.

The robbers, impersonating as passengers, boarded the coach at Shah Nawaz Chowk of the town.

When the bus crossed Morjhar Minor bridge, one of the robbers overpowered its driver and the others began looting the passengers.

However, the robbers did not loot the women passengers.

Later, the robbers disembarked at Dubi Minor, where they punctured wheels of the coach.

An FIR was registered with the Kario Ganhwar police against the unidentified robbers.

FIRE: Eight houses of the scheduled caste families were gutted when a fire broke out in Kheeto Kolhi village, Tando Bago taluka on Friday.

The house-hold articles, ornaments, cash and grain were reduced to ashes.
