PESHAWAR, Nov 1: Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, who is also a central leader of Awami National Party, has said that a conspiracy is being hatched to disintegrate the country by raising unnecessary issues like Kalabagh Dam.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said that Kalabagh Dam was a technical issue and the assemblies of Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had passed unanimous resolutions against it.

Mr Bilour said that there was no need for anyone to comment on the issue. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had no dispute with any province. He said that all federating units should show unity on issues of national interests.

On the occasion, Mr Bilour reaffirmed his pledge to pay bounty on the head of anti-Islam filmmaker. He said that he would not accept any pressure from anyone in that regard.

He stressed the need for legislation at international level against blasphemous acts.

He said that he was ready to die but he would never visit United Kingdom.

He said that he would take back his statement about announcement of bounty on the head of filmmaker if the United States awarded punishment to its citizen for making the movie.

Mr Bilour said that UK high commissioner in Pakistan sent him a letter to tell him that he could not visit UK.

He said that the envoy also met him at his office and asked him to take back his statement regarding the announcement of head money.

“I don’t have any dispute with any state, religion and person,” the ANP leader said. He added that United Nations should legislate in that regard.

“I will not take back my words until laws are enacted at international level to stop anti-Islam and blasphemous movies. I will not tolerate any pressure in this regard,” he said.

He said that imposing ban on him by UK was a wrong and unwise step.

He said that he would prefer to die for his motherland and Islam but would not like to accept any pressure.

Mr Bilour said that ANP was a major political party that had representation in Sindh and Balochistan assemblies, Senate and National Assembly and a coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that ANP was ready to form electoral alliance with any political party.
