KARACHI, Oct 30: A splendid all-round performance from Jawwad Khan enabled Northern Gymkhana comfortably beat Ravi Gymkhana by 102 runs in the KCCA Zone-VI ‘A’ Division League cricket tournament fixture at the RLCA Ground in North Karachi here the other day.

Jawwad first scored 71 with the aid of five boundaries as Northern Gymkhana made 230-7 in their quota of 40 overs. Waqas Haroon also batted well to strike nine fours and one six in his innings of 61.

Ravi Gymkhana, in reply, were bowled out for 128 in 29 overs. Jawwad claimed three wickets for just eight runs with Waqas and Ijaz Ahmed providing good support with two wickets apiece.

Late Ismail Jaffer Cricket Club, meanwhile, defeated Taimuria Sports by six wickets in another match played at the Asifabad Sports Ground with Talha Malik (51 not out and two wickets) playing a big part in their success.
