KARACHI: Pakistan's women's cricket team defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in the semi-final of the Asia Cup played in Guangzhou, China on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.

Pakistan will now face India in the final on Wednesday after the match between India and Sri Lanka was washed out and India progressed based on their group-standing.

Nida Dar and Bismah Maroof starred with both bat and ball for Pakistan, taking 2-13 and 2-9 respectively as Bangladesh scored 82 runs for the loss of seven wickets with Farzana Haque scoring 28.

Dar later made 25 runs and Maroof made 27 not out as Pakistan successfully achieved the set target.
