RAWALPINDI, Jan 3: The additional district and sessions judge, Malik Akram Awan, on Friday acquitted three brothers of the charges of murder when the two parties reached an agreement.

The men — Waqar Mustafa, Ghulam Mustafa and Tahir Mustafa — were booked by the Air Port police for allegedly killing a person, Hafiz Sana, and seriously injuring another, Tahir Iqbal, by opening fire at them.

Meanwhile, the judge of family court, Shazia Zafar Raja, ordered the auction of the property of Shehzad Alamgeer for not paying maintenance allowance and dower to his former wife, Qamarun Nisa.

The family court judge, Seema Zahore, directed the district account officer to withhold the salary of a sub-inspector (SI) of the special branch police, Yasin, for not paying dower to his former wife, Kalsoom Bibi.

The family judge, Ambreen Qureshi, issued show cause notice to the SHO Sadiqabad police station, who was backing the head of a fake marriage bureau.

The SHO was also threatening a man, Yasin, who demanded his money back from the bureau for not providing him with a suitable match.

The judge of anti-terrorists court no. 2, Safdar Hussain Malik, adjourned the hearing of PML-N’s Kashmir rally case till January 15.

All the 18 PML-N members, including central vice-president Sayed Zafar Ali Shah, who had been nominated in the FIR by the Bani police for allegedly disturbing public order and committing terrorism during the rally by snatching helmets and sticks from policemen were present in the court.

The civil judge and judicial magistrate, Javidul Hasan Chohan, awarded three-month rigorous imprisonment to a person for possessing unlicensed weapon.
