SUKKUR, Oct 25: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) and Jeay Sindh Tehrik (JST) took out separate processions in Jacobabad on Thursday in protest against imposition of new local government law in Sindh.

Reports reaching here said activists of the JSQM started their march from Jamali Wah and reached in front of the local press club after covering a distance of two kilometres on foot. They held a sit-in there, suspending vehicular traffic on DC office road for about an hour. The protesters were shouting slogans against the Sindh government and MQM.

Addressing on the occasion, JSQM district president Ali Muhammad Lashari, Abdul Jabbar Lashari of the PML-F, Nizam Mastoi, Muhammad Umar Solangi, Nawaz Magsi, Muhammad Siddique Soomro, Sattar Jagirani, Dil Murad Lashari and Mir Hassan Talani said the PPP had been trapped by the MQM because of their blackmailing.

The law would divide Sindh into two parts, which would not be accepted at all, they said, adding that their struggle would continue against what they termed the ‘black law’ of the PPP and MQM if it was not withdrawn.

The procession of JST was taken out from Shaheed Allah Bux Park to the local press club where participants held a sit-in, raising slogans against the LG act. Shahid Lashari, Dr Abid Sindhi, Chakar Sindhi, Ali Raza Sindhi, Asif Khoso and G. M. Jatoi led the procession.
