Two shot, injured

RAWALPINDI, Oct 25: Two persons were shot and injured, after three unidentified gunmen raided a petrol pump on Pirwadhai Road and walked away with Rs700,000 on Wednesday, police said.

The injured victims were taken to the Holy Family Hospital where they were stated to be in stable condition.

Naseer Ahmed, the manager filling station complained to the police that he was sitting in his office, when a gang of five unidentified persons walked in.

One of the robbers carrying a Kalashnikov kept guarding the door, while the others wearing surgical masks and carrying pistols took the manager and cashier at gunpoint.

Jamshaid Nawaz, the owner of Shah Nawaz petrol pump told Dawn that the cashier was counting the sale money when the gunmen raided the filling station and later escaped with the loot.
