KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) announced a 27-member probable squad on Thursday for the 34th Champions Trophy which will be played in Melbourne, Australia from December 1-9, DawnNews reported.

Veterans Rehan Butt and Sohail Abbas were notable exclusions from the squad while Mohammad Imran, Wasim Ahmed and Imran Shah were included.

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) included Pakistan in this year's edition of the Champions Trophy after the Greenshirts finished seventh at the London Olympics.

The training camp for the tournament will begin from October 31 in Johar Town hockey stadium.

Mohammad Salman Hussain, Waqas Liaqat Butt, Imran Junior, Ahmed Zubair, Usman Rafiq, Ali Hassan, Talal Khalid, Kashif Ali, Sibtain Naqvi, Abdul Haseem Khan, Mohammad Rizwan Junior, Ali Shan, Mohammad Ateeq, Mohammad Nawaz, Waseem Ahmed, Mohammad Tauseeq, Fareed Ahmed, Mohammad Waqas, Shafqat Rasool, Umar Bhutta, Imran Shah, Imran Butt, Irfan Senior, Kashif Shah, Mohammad Imran senior and Mohammad Rizwan senior.
