LAHORE, Oct 24: FIFA MA Special Referees Course 2012 concluded at the Football House here on Wednesday.
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) secretary Col (r) Ahmed Yar Lodhi said the federation would organise more courses to hone the skills of referees.
Mohamed Muhiseen Ariff, who conducted the course, said it was now easier than ever to become a qualified football referee. He said by getting on the refereeing ladder individuals had the opportunity to progress through the various FIFA coaching qualifications while constantly enhancing their knowledge and skills.
Ariff was assisted by Ganesh Manium, FIFA physical instructor from Singapore, Qazi Mohammad Asif and Ahmed Ali from Pakistan.
Following referees attended the course: Zahid Ali Khan, Abdul Aziz, Arsalan Sharif (Karachi); Hidayatullah (Noushki); Dilwar Khan, Shah Zaman, Asadullah (Quetta), Khurram Shahzad (Kohat), Mohammad Ali Junior (Peshawar), Waheed Muraz, Asif Bin Younis, Zubair Shahzad, Javed Khan, Saima Majeed, Fehmida Ayub (Lahore); Adnan Anjum, Shahid Hussain, Yasir Rehman (Okara); Arsalan Sharif Jr, Tauqeer Aslam (Islamabad); Shafaat Habib, Majid Khan (Rawalpindi); Rana Naseer Ahmed, Muzammil Hussain (Faisalabad); Rana Jahanzaib (Multan), Irshad-ul-Haq (Sheikhupura), Ahmed Rauf (Khanewal).—Sports Reporter
