KARACHI, Jan 3: The chairman, Central Board of Revenue (CBR), Riaz Ahmed Malik, on Friday inaugurated a training programme on the job description development, for the CBR officers, at the Custom House.

He highlighted the significance of the human resources in the CBR and complimented the participants on their selection for the assignment.

Earlier, the chairman was welcomed by the member HRM, Zafar Aziz Usmani, and director of training, Azhar Majeed Khalid.

The CBR, eventually being transformed into a modern and progressive wing of the government, initiated the process of developing progressive Job description for the key positions across the organisation.

Initially, the training of 24 senior officers of Income Tax, Customs, Central Excise and Sales tax groups has been started.

The three-day programme is being conducted by the HRM wing of the CBR, in coordination with Ms Rukhsana Asghar, Director HR, Citi Group, and Rodney Judd, Citibank.

The participants have found the assignment challenging and they believe that the training will be beneficial for the CBR.—PPI
