Fog disrupts Group-III ties

Published January 3, 2003

LAHORE,  Jan 2: All three matches of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy third round Group-III were hit by fog in different cities of the Punjab on Thursday.

Only 42 overs’ play could be possible in the game  between  Lahore Whites and Habib Bank at LCCA Ground.

The match began only 30 minutes before tea interval as hazy conditions and the wet square made it impossible to start.

After being sent in, Lahore Whites were lost five wickets while scoring 75 runs by close of play.

In Sheikhupura, only 10.3 overs could be bowled during which Sheikhupura collected 25 for two against Sialkot.

But not a single ball was bowled at Saga Ground in Sialkot  where Pakistan Customs and Gujranwala are playing.
