KARACHI, Oct 21: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has directed Karachi Metropolitan Corporation officials that the Jinnah Terminal flyover be completed and opened to traffic by the end of next month and that the work on four flyovers being constructed on Shahrah-i-Pakistan be carried out on a round-the-clock basis.

He issued these directives while visiting the construction sites of these projects on Sunday.

The governor said that various development projects were being implemented in the city and the people after the projects completion would soon see an improvement in the situation.

He said that the flyover being constructed at a cost of over Rs268 million would facilitate movement between the airport and the National Highway.

KMC administrator Mohammad Hussain Syed on the occasion informed the governor that although, as per schedule, the flyover construction was to be completed in eight months, the work had been expedited and it would be completed in six months.

Later the governor visited other ongoing projects, including bridges, roads, etc, and a hospital where drug addicts were treated.
