PESHAWAR, Oct 9: Students of different departments of Peshawar University on Tuesday held a protest demonstration near Peshawar Press Club against the government for failing to release the required funds to the public sector universities. The students holding banners and placards inscribed with demands for release of funds also demanded of the teachers to continue the classes so that the precious time of students could be saved. They also shouted against the government for failing to implement its decision regarding 20 per cent increase in salaries of the employees.The students demanded immediate release of required funds to public sector universities to ensure payment of 20 per cent increase in salaries of the teachers and other employees. —Bureau Report
