Hasan fails to rescue Opera CC

KARACHI, Nov 22: Discarded Test batsman Hasan Raza made a sparking half century but failed to save Opera CC from a 38-run defeat at the hands of Hamdam CC in the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramzan cricket tournament at AKG Ground Thursday.

Asif Zakir hit 65 off 40 balls with four boundaries and six and Fahim Ahmed Senior blasted an unbeaten 56 after facing 29 balls and hit two sixes and four boundaries in Hamdam CC’s total of 218-5 in 25 overs.

Hasan then hit a polished 62 off 63 balls with three hits to the boundary but Opera CC managed just 180-9 in 25 overs.

Fahim Ahmed Senior was named Man-of-the-Match.
