SIALKOT, Dec 31: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal says that Qari Muhammad Afzal, detained as a suspect in the Daska Church attack, is innocent.

A meeting, held at Darul Uloom Madnia, Daska Kalan, said that some anti-state elements were involved in this brutal act.

The meeting was attended by Tehrik-i-Jafria’s local leader Muhammad Bashir Butt, Sialkot district MMA leader Maulana Feroze Khan, Daska’s general secretary Muhammad Afzal Lone, Maulana Muhammad Hayat Muhammad of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, and Aalami Majlis Tuhafaz-i-Khatam-i-Nabuwat Sialkot district president Maulana Arif Nadeem.

They urged the government to also interrogate Christian leaders who arranged a service in Chianwali (Daska) without informing the authorities

REWARD: The Sialkot district police have announced a cash prize of Rs 100,000 for those who will give sufficient information about the Daska church attack terrorists.

Posters in this regard have been pasted at all police stations and important public places in the district.

The MMA has meanwhile declared that it will hold anti-US demonstrations in Sialkot, Daska and Pasrur on Jan 3.
