ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Wednesday said the judiciary was standing at a critical juncture of history and was facing unremitting attacks from all directions, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to a function organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) in Islamabad, Chaudhry warned the administration on interfering in deliverance of justice to the masses.

Commenting on the Balochistan issue, he said that the people of the province love Pakistan as much as the rest of the nation.

The chief justice vowed to continue putting efforts until the mutilated dead bodies are stopped appearing in the province.

He said that it was everyone’s responsibility to work towards strengthening the free judiciary for attaining an absolute and stable democratic system in the country.

Commending the bar’s efforts, the chief justice said that the steps taken by the bar gave confidence to the Baloch people.
