KARACHI: Traffic plan for New Year eve

KARACHI, Dec 30: Following traffic arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles on new year night when big crowds of revellers are expected to throng the Clifton and DHA areas.

Abdullah Haroon Road and Shahrah-i-Iran will flow one-way from 10pm on Tuesday till the rush is over next morning.

Abdullah Haroon Road will flow one-way from the Club Road intersection up to the Hoshing Road intersection (traffic signal) and Shahrah-i-Iran from Do Talwar roundabout up to Khayaban-i-Firdousi (Clifton helipad).

The following routes will become one-way for commuters: Roads from Mohatta Palace up to Khayaban-i-Firdousi (Clifton helipad), Khayaban-i-Iqbal from Do Talwar roundabout up to the junction of Hatim Alvi Road (Mohatta Palace), Khayaban-i-Firdousi from Clifton helipad upto Street No 26, (light signal), Khayaban-i-Shamsheer from Street No 26 to Sea View Road, Sea View Road and Khayanban-i-Ittehad from Village Restaurant up to its crossing of Khayaban-i-Hafiz.

The commuters approaching Clifton beach from the opposite one-way direction will have to follow the alternate routes to reach their destinations. —APP
