Five injured in accident

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 29: Five people, including a son and two daughters of PML-Q MPA Rai Ijaz Ahmad, sustained injuries on Sunday in a road accident near Morr Joyanwala, some six kilometres from here.

Rai Azeem, his sisters Quratul Aain, Noorul Aain, housemaid Majidan Bibi and driver Abbas were returning to Sheikhupura from Lahore by a car. The driver in a bid to save the trailer, which suddenly appeared on the road from wrong direction, lost control over the steering and dashed the vehicle against a roadside tree. As a result, all the car occupants received injuries. They were rushed to the Sheikhupura DHQ Hospital where a dispenser and a nurse attended them as no doctor was present there.
