LAHORE, Dec 29: Three people were found slaughtered and another was shot dead in the city on Sunday.

Riaz, a servant, told police that he found Ishrat Bibi, 55, and her cousin Mohsin, 22, butchered in her South Cantonment house on Sunday. He said he was on leave for some days.

Ishrat’s brother Sikandar told the police she lived alone in the house after her children’s settlement abroad some years ago. He said Mohsin came to the house on Saturday. He said neither he nor his sister had any enmity.

The bodies were sent to the city mortuary for autopsy. A case was registered with no arrest.

Younus told police he had a dispute with two neighbours —- Asif and Khurram —- in Sabzazar some days ago. He said the two men burst into the upper portion of his house on Sunday and started beating him. He said his wife Shahnaz Bibi, 20, intervened and the two men pushed her. She fell from the roof and died, he said.

The two men escaped and the body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.

Police said five people shot dead a man over a dispute involving a woman in Shahdara Town.

Bisharat of Narang Mandi had suspicion that Saddiq had relations with his relative. He visited Saddiq on Sunday and had an exchange of harsh words with him.

Saddiq and his four relatives, Amanat, Hanif, Rafiq and Arif, detained Bisharat in a room. They first tortured him and, later, shot dead him.

The police were informed by neighbours who arrested four of them. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a man aged about 28, unidentified so far, was found dead near the Badshahi Masjid in Tibbi City. The police said he had been slaughtered and sent the body to the city mortuary for autopsy.
