Shahid and Farhan spur Hilal Deccan

KARACHI, Dec 28: Shahid Ali’s second half winner powered Hilal Deccan to a 2-1 victory after brushing aside a mild challenge from Peer Baba Bokhari in the qualifying round of the All-Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto football tournament Saturday.

Farhan Ahmad slammed home the first for Hilal Deccan in the 20th minute, while Muneer Ahmad equalised in the 37th minute. Shahid finally fired home the match-winner in the 59th minute.

Mohammad Khan starred in 36 B Centre’s 1-0 win over Super Star.

Two-goal Mohammad Ahmad helped Allahdad Mohammadan rout Young Quaidabad 4-0. Ahmad started the blitz with a 12th-minute goal to enable his side take a slim 1-0 lead before going for the break.

Ejaz Ahmad doubled the lead two minutes into the second half, while Mohammad Aslam made it 3-0 in the 53rd minute. Ahmad capped the victory with a 64th-minute goal.

Shahzaman’s double powered Young Shaheen to a 2-0 triumph over Gulistan Friends. He raided in the 19th minute and then in the 27th minute.

Abdul Rahman scored in the 21st minute and Ghulam Nabi hammered on 57th minutes to guide Hunter Sports to a 2-0 win against Zeeshan Sporting.

Azad XI pumped in a goal in each half to score a 2-0 win over Malir Brothers thanks to a 13th-minute strike by Ghulam Mustafa and an effort by Bashir Ahmad in the 59th minute.
