Greens thump Juniors 4-1

LAHORE, Dec 28: Pakistan Greens defeated Juniors 4-1 and won the NBP League hockey series at the Faisalabad Sta-dium, a message received here Saturday.

Greens led the first half 3-0.

Muhammad Sarwar scored the first goal in the 8th minute followed by Kashif Jawad who banged home in the 17th minute to double the lead. Three minutes later Mudassar Ali Khan was on target to make it 3-0 which remained intact till the breather.

After the resumptions, Saleem Khalid built up the lead 4-0 in the 40th minute. Juniors scored their consolation goal through Mahmood in the 48th minute.

Muhammad Nadeem of Greens was declared as Man-of-the-Match.
