ISLAMABAD, Sept 19: The International Labor Organisation will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the government and other stakeholders on promoting ‘Decent Work Country Programme’ on Thursday.

Government of Pakistan, Employers Federation of Pakistan, and Pakistan Workers Federation will be the signatories along with the ILO. The programme will be implemented during the next three years.

“Post devolution, this MoU will provide a framework for ILO support to the federal and provincial governments, employers and workers in Pakistan until 2015,” ILO maintained.

Ministry of Human Resource Development Federal Secretary Muhammad Ahsan Raja, Employers Federation of Pakistan representative Haji Muhammad Javed, Pakistan Workers Federation representative Zahoor Awan and Country Director ILO Francesco d'Ovidio will sign the MoU.

Provincial Secretaries of Labour from Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh will also attend the signing ceremony.—APP
