ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Tuesday that the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) did not believe in the clash of institutions and the federation would present its reservations in the Supreme Court, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives outside the Supreme Court after the hearing of the show-cause notice for contempt of court against Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Kaira said that the prime minister had instructed Law Minister Farooq H Naek in front of the court to implement para 178 of the court's verdict in the NRO case.

The government has paved the way on the NRO issue and would implement the court's orders in the future as well, added Kaira.

The information minister further said that the court's Tuesday proceedings had defeated those who had been trying to instigate a clash between institutions.

Responding to a journalist’s query on the elections, Kaira affirmed that the elections would take place on time.
