KARACHI, Dec 28: One statutory body of the Federal Government Urdu University would be constituted within the next couple of weeks, said the chairman of Higher Education Commission on Saturday.

Talking to a group of journalists at a scientific conference, Prof Atta-ur-Rahman said the Urdu University would be run according to the controversial Universities Ordinance which came in force recently.

In response to a question, the professor said the constitution of the other statutory body of the university was the prerogative of its vice chancellor.
