12 students expelled from NCTE

FAISALABAD, Dec 27: A heavy police contingent vacated the hostel of the National College of Textile Engineering here on Friday night.

Some 250 students were residing in the hostel.

The college administration also expelled 12 students for one year. These students had been agitating for the last 70 days against the increase in tuition fee and other charges. Academic activities also remained suspended during this period.

Those expelled are Mohammad Kashif, Zeeshan, Barkat, Mohammad Saleem, Irfan Iqbal, Rashid Baloch, Abid Sarwar, Tanveer Asif, Kashif, Bilal Asif, Waseem Randawa and Mohammad Amir.
