KARACHI, Dec 26: Mohammad Moosa’s second half strike gave All Brothers a narrow 1-0 victory over Dawood Mohammadan in the qualifying round of the All-Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto football tournament Thursday.

After a barren first period, Moosa pounced in the 58th minute to score the winner.

Young Jam Kunda scored identical margin win over Young Malir thanks to a 62nd-minute strike from Mohammad Sharif.

In a one-sided game, Shafi XI handed a crushing 7-1 defeat to Awami Sports. They opened the account through Mohammad Hussain in the 5th minute.

Shafiq XI added two quick goals within the space of seven minutes when Abdul Qadir netted in the 7th minute and Lal Mohammad was on target in the 14th minute. Jamil Ahmad slammed in the 22nd minute to make it 4-0 before the halftime.

Hussain came into action three minutes into the second half. Awami Sports got the consolation when Sameen Khan attacked in the 57th minute.

Jamil got his second in the 63rd minute and Abdul Ghani completed the rout six minutes later.

Adil Sports defeated Pir Sarhani XI 3-0 scoring the first via Azam Ali in the 4th minute, while Mohammad Hussain and Rahmat Ali banged home in the 24th and 67th minutes.

Young Bilal beat Koast XI 3-0. Mohammad Hasim broke the ice in the 22nd minute, Mohammad Idrees (50th minute) and Shahid Ali (63rd minute) finished off the proceedings.

Malir Union outplayed Young Noorani 2-0 thanks to first half goal from Faisal Murad (18th minute) and Ashiq Ali Bhutto’s second half effort (59th minute).

Korangi Baloch coasted to a 2-0 victory over Young Ejaz with Mohammad Adam scoring in the 27th minute and Mujahid Ali in the 68th minute.

Wali Mohammad (11th minute) and Mahboob Ali (63rd minute) scored in Young Kalmat’s 2-0 win over Elan Sports.

Mahfooz XI helped by Mohammad Akram goal in the 14th minute and Faraz Ahmad in the 29th minute notched-up a 2-0 triumph over Gulshan Ittehad.

Mohammad Saleem and Mohammad Ali netted one goal each in the 18th minute and 27th minute to enable Lal Bukhsh defeat Shaheed Millat 2-0.

Osama Sports defeated Baloch Mujahid 5-4, Baran Mohammad beat Young Muzaffarabad 4-3 on penalty shootouts.
