KARACHI, Dec 26: The Fishermen Cooperative Society has sought the federal government’s assistance for the release of 106 fishermen detained in Muscat and requested the Oman authorities through the Marine Fishing Department to free them.

These fishermen, along with eight boats, were seized last month.

Following is a list of the seized fishing vessels and their detained crew members:

1. Al-Navidi with 15 men crew: Jamal Gul, Fazal Syed, Raheem Syed, Noor Islam Baluch, Makhdoom Khan, Shah Wali Khan, Nawab, Dawood Khan, Sharif Fada, Noor Saeed Khan, Faizur Rehman, Arif Khan, M. Islam, Yusuf Khan and Faqeer Syed.

2. Al-Yasir with 14 crew members: Suleman, Zahir Shah, Rasheedullah, Khaista Rehman, Gul Zameer, M. Khan, Riaz, Zakiuallah, Alam Khan, Niaz Hassan, Khizar Hayat, Ikramuddin, Akram Khan and Fazal Khan.

3. Al-Makki with 13 men: Ibrahim, Farhan Ali, Naik Mohammad, Syed Farhad Ali, Siraj, Hayatullah, Liaquat Ali, Imran Khan, Ameer Zaman, Mohammad Zaman, Sher Alam, Luqman Abassi and Mohammad Hanif.

4. Al-Kazmi-11 with 14 fishermen: Hazrat Wahid, Yusuf Khan, Farman Ali, Saeed, Shoaib, Yousuf Khan, Rozi Khan, Sher Bahdur, Bar Khan, Sareand Khan, Gul Zareen Khan, Aurangzeb, Shahmeer Khan and Yusuf Khan.

5. Al-Asif with 13 persons: Naik Mohammad, Irshad Ali, Niaz Mohammad, Hazrat Mohammad, M. Husain, Sher Nawab, Lateef Khan, Abdul Shakoor, S. Kareem Khan, Riaz Mohammad, Akbar Khan, Bakhat Zareen Khan and Sher Gul.

6. Al-Ambreen with 11 crew members: Naik Mohammad, Husain-ur-rehman, Hashim Gul, Rehman, Sher Ali Khan, Jan Karim, Akram Khan, Rehmat Zada, Fazal-ur-Rehman, Sher Nawaz Khan and M. Arshad.

7. Al-Madni with 14 man crew: Jan Bahadur, M. Zaman, Khalid Khan, Gul Khan, Falak Naz, Wali Rehman, M. Afzal, M. Ikram, Munawar Khan, Imranullah, Ali Rehman, Wazirzada, Gual Husain and Ghani-ur-Rehamn.

8. Al-Yakoobi with 12 people: M. Khaliq, Wajheeduddin, Yusuf Shah, Rahim Bacha, Israr Khan, Ghul Iqbal, Sher Malik, Shah Room, M. Rahim, Bacha Rehman, Fateh Karim and Misbahullah.
