NEGOMBO: Pakistan netball team went down fighting against arch-rivals India 20-13 in an exciting final of the Asian Beach Netball Championship to earn a silver medal here on Saturday.

Hosts Sri Lanka finished third with a bronze medal.

Hernasiri Fernando, the vice president of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed the prizes, according to information received from Mudassar Arain, the secretary general of the Pakistan Netball Federation, who is accompanying the squad as manager.—Agencies
