Pakistan Open tees off tomorrow

KARACHI, Dec 24: Country’s leading golfers will be vying for top honours in the four-day 35th Caltex Pakistan Open championship which begins at Karachi Golf Club from Thursday.

It will be played over 72 holes in professional and amateur categories. A lucrative purse of Rs one million will be on offer for the top 40 professionals.

Around 65 qualified professionals have entered the main contest including reigning champion Matloob Ahmad and former champions Imdad Hussain, Taimur Hussain, M. Tahir and M. Munir.

The event will be participated by Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, NWFP and Federal area.—APP
