FAISALABAD, Dec 24: The Tehsil municipal administration has decided to invite national and multinational companies for financial assistance to install streetlights and renovate historical places.

Sources said here on Tuesday that due to lack of funds, the TMA planned to seek assistance from various companies to install lights on the recently constructed city roads.

According to the TMA plan, lights would be installed on the Jaranwala and Satiana roads in the first phase. The companies intending to fund the project would be allowed to display their publicity boards for a fixed period.

Sources said over a dozen main highways and city roads were still without light for the last couple years due to paucity of funds.

The TMA, according to sources, also decided to renovate historical places like Clock Tower, Gumti, Qaisari Gate, Jinnah Garden and shrines of sufis with the financial assistance of private companies.

Motorcycle of Ashraf was stolen from the Allied Hospital, while that of Iqbal from Chiniot Bazaar.
