LAHORE, Dec 23: Pakistan under-15 cricket team returned on Monday after winning the Asia Cup in UAE beating Sri Lanka in the final by 46 runs.

Former Test paceman, Aqib Javed, who accompanied the team as coach said that his side performed excellently as it remained unbeaten throughout the competition and eventually won the coveted trophy.

Aaqib said that the credit goes to the all-round performance of Raza Ali Dar who scored 76 at a crucial stage of the match and also bagged two wickets to turn the match in Pakistan’s favour.

He pointed out that with more exposure a good national side could possibly emerge from this Under-15 side.

Captain, Fazal Mohammad Khan, said that the victory was the result of the collective efforts of all members of the team.

Manager, Sultan Rana said that each member of the team maintained discipline on and off the ground.
