Asif hits century

LAHORE, Dec 23: A polished knock of 121 by Asif  Hussain enabled Faisalabad take an impregnable 157-run lead on first innings over Lahore Blues in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Group-I match at LCCA Ground here on Monday.

Replying to Lahore Blues’ 195, Faisalabad scored 352 after resuming at the overnight score of 172 for two.

Pacer Sajid Ali finished with six for 82.

Lahore Blues were 28 without loss in second innings.

In other matches of this group, Wapda defeated Servis Industries by 10 runs at Gymkhana Ground in Okara.

Servis were dismissed for 193 after resuming at 30 for two.

At Sports Stadium in Sargodha, bad light came to National Bank’s rescue. The bankers, who had conceded 47 runs lead, were 89 for four in second innings after resuming at 36 for two.

Test opener Saeed Anwar scored 22, batting at five.
