This week in football has seen Liverpool draw 2-2 against Manchester City, after being thrashed 3-0 last week by West Bromwich Albion. Earlier, Arsenal failed to score for the second league match in a row following the departure of star striker Robin van Persie to Manchester United as they were held to a 0-0 draw to Stoke.

Manchester United's 3-2 win over Fulham was marred by an injury to Wayne Rooney - coach Sir Alex Ferugson said, "It looks like he will be out for four weeks." Chelsea cemented their position on the top of the table, with Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres securing them a 2-0 win against Newcastle United. Everton maintained their 100% record with a 3-1 win against Aston Villa. James Morrison's late goal for West Bromwich Albion secured a 1-1 draw against Tottenham.

Norwich City and QPR, both thrashed 5-0 the previous week, drew 1-1 in their match at Carrow Road, with goals from QPR's Bobby Zemora and Norwich City's Simeon Jackson. Wigan Athletic showed there is life after Victor Moses with a 2-0 win at Southampton. - Photos/text by Agencies
