THIS is apropos of the Nadra chairman’s appeal in a section of the press in which he addressed political leaders seeking their assistance in mobilising citizens to obtain their computerised national identity cards.

I think it is for the first time in Pakistan’s history that such earnest efforts are being made by the authority to ensure maximum participation of the people. Now political parties should also play their role.

Now a mechanism has been developed on the basis of new electoral lists. It is time we ensured free and fair election.
