Light rain expected

LAHORE, Dec 23: Partly cloudy weather in Lahore on Monday dropped the temperature and the local Met office forecast light rain during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature was 20.7 degrees C against Sunday’s 23.9 and the Met office expected that it would further drop in two days.

It expected light rain in Lahore, Sargodha and Gujranwala, and light rain with snow over the hills in the Northern Areas, the NWFP and Murree during the next 24 hours.

Chief Meteorologist Shaukat Ali Awan said the chill in the weather had been caused by a westerly system which was not too strong and would pass away in two days.
