Minorities enjoy religious freedom

SIALKOT, Dec 23: Minorities are enjoying a complete religious freedom in the country and the government is making efforts to protect their rights.

This was stated by National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Ameer Husain while speaking at the annual Christmas dinner held at the Memorial Christian Hospital here on Sunday night.

The Speaker said it was national obligation of the minorities to come forward and join hands with the Muslims for the solidarity and integrity of the country.

Later, he distributed prizes and certificates among Christian doctors and nurses for their missionary services to the ailing humanity.

Meanwhile, speaking at the concluding session of the five-day inter-district boys scouts rally held at the Govt Boys High School, Head Marala, the NA Speaker said the government would soon introduce comprehensive education policies for achieving the goal of cent per cent literacy rate in the country.

He said he would ask the government to announce a relief package for students.

Later, he distributed prizes and certificates among the scouts and participants in the scouts rally.
