ISLAMABAD: The interior ministers of Pakistan and India agreed to attempt resolving problems through mutual cooperation and understanding, DawnNews reported on Sunday.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik and his counterpart Indian Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde spoke on the telephone today about bringing to justice the culprits behind the Mumbai attacks.

Malik reiterated that Pakistan is willing to do its part in trying to root-out terrorism from the region and ensured full cooperation in the war against terror.

The interior minister invited his counterpart to Pakistan to discuss the visa issue between the two countries and come to an agreement on it.

He also congratulated Shinde upon taking office while Shinde wished him Eid Mubarak.
