JEDDAH, Aug 13: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, who arrived here on Sunday, held meetings with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah on Monday and discussed with them regional and international situation.

During the meeting with Prince Abdullah, Ms Khar appreciated the Saudi government’s efforts for hosting the extraordinary summit to discuss the regional situation, especially the Syrian crisis.

She expressed the hope that the summit would play an important role in ensuring peace and stability in the region.

During talks with her Turkish counterpart, she exchanged views with Mr Davutoglu on the regional situation, especially the situation in Syria.—APP
