HARIPUR, Dec 21: The students and teachers of various primary schools would observe a “Cleanliness Week” from 24 to 30 December.

This was decided at a meeting of the education department, which was presided over by the Deputy District Education Officer Taimoor Khan here on Friday.

The week would be observed in collaboration with the Tehsil Municipal Administration.

Heads of 26 primary schools would be responsible for the execution of the plan.

They have been asked to prepare a comprehensive plan which would include holding of seminars and debates emphasizing the need for better hygienic conditions in the rural areas.

The organizers were also asked to ensure the participation of maximum number of councillors, Nazims, Naib Nazims and lady councillors in the programmes.
