HYDERABAD, Dec 21: The University of Sindh has announced the names of position holders in various disciplines in the semester examinations for different years.

Khalida Yasmeen, daughter of Abdul Hussain Shaikh, secured first position in M.A. (Hons) final Islamic culture semester examination 2000, while Saira Bano, daughter of Mohammad Khan Chandio, secured second and Javed Hussain, son of Mohammad Habil Qazalbash, secured third position.

In M.A. (Hons) final Islamic culture (2001), Naheed, daughter of Abdul Majeed Arain, secured first position, Zahida, daughter of Abdul Rasool Shaikh, secured second while the third position would later be announced.

In M.A. (Hons) final Islamic Culture (1999), Kousar, daughter of Aas Mohammad Ansari, secured first position, Shahida Rahmat Mahar, daughter of Faqeer Mohammad Mahar, secured second position and Miss Hina, daughter of Shamsuddin Memon, secured third position.

In M.A. (Hons) Sindhi (1999), Manzoor Ali, son of Mohammad Bahsh Veesrio, secured first position, Shazia, daughter of Ghulam Hyder Memon, secured second and Mohammad Azeem, son of Mohammad Umer Jamali, secured third position.

In M.A. (Hons) final Social Work (1999), Niat Jan, daughter of Jan Mohammad Khan Sawat, secured first position, Irum, daughter of A. Rehman Qureshi, secured second and Farzana Baloch, daughter of Azizullah Baloch, secured third position.

In M.A. (Pass) final Islamic Culture (2000), Samreen Parveen, daughter of Mohammad Yamin Siddiqui, secured first position, Farah Nausheen, daughter of Mohammad Shabir Mughal, secured second position and Farah, daughter of Nawab Khan Pathan, secured third position.

In M.Sc. (Pass) final Zoology (2001), Nasreen Anjuman, daughter of Hasan Ali Chandio, secured first position, Farkhunda Tanveer, daughter of Mirza Sajad Tanveer Mughal, secured second position and Mir Mustafa, son of Hafiz Mohammad Soomro, secured third position.

In M.Sc. (Hons) final Fresh Water Biology (2000), Inayat Ali, son of Shafa Ali, secured first position, Qadir Hussain, son of Ibadat Khan, secured second position and Abdul Fatah, son of Ali Mohammad Jokhio, secured third position.

In M.Sc. (Hons) final Zoology (2001), Asma Salahuddin, daughter of Salahuddin Shaikh, secured first position, Afshan Jabbar Surhio, daughter of Abdul Jabar Surhio, secured second and Saleha Hakro, daughter of Sikandar Ali Hakro, secured third position.

In M.Sc. (Pass) final Physics (2001), Iftikhar Hussain, son of Hidayat Ali Bhellar, secured first position, Waseemullah, son of Hafeezullah Soomro, secured second and Qurban Ali, son of Mohammad Hassan Khoso, secured third position.

In M.Sc. (Hons) final Physics (2001), Mazhar Ali, son of Mohammad Suleman Abbasi, secured first position, Mohammad Akhtar, son of Mohammad Azeem Rind, secured second position and Kamran, son of Mohammad Ilyas Shaikh, secured third position.
