Three killed

ATTOCK, Aug 8: Three persons were killed in different areas of the district.

Police sources said here on Wednesday that a trader, Haji Saifur Rehman, was sitting at his shop in Jand on Tuesday evening when three armed men opened fire on him and escaped. The injured trader was immediately taken to a local hospital where he died.

In another incident, a teenager was killed over a minor dispute. Mohammad Idrees told Attock Saddar police that he and his son, Nouman, were allegedly attacked by their neighbour and his two sons over the issue of children. As a result his 18-year-old son died while he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.

A man died after being attacked by three persons in Pindigheb on Tuesday night. Mohammad Arif, 28, was on his way home after Taraveeh prayers when three persons attacked him with wooden sticks. He later died. —Correspondent
