Woman beats up husband

RAWALPINDI, Aug 7: A man ended up landing on a hospital bed with serious injury he suffered at the hands of his enraged wife for waking her up early in the morning to prepare Sehri on Tuesday.

Nasir Abbas 26, a resident of Bakra Mandi suffered severe head injury after being beaten by his wife who apparently was not willing to get up for the ‘noble task’.

It all happened when Nasir tried to wake his wife up for preparing Sehri. Rubbing her eyes, the accused went into the kitchen and took out a big cooking spoon to later hammer it on her husband’s head in revenge for disturbing her sleep. The man started bleeding profusely and subsequently the emergency services had to be informed.

On seeing him in critical condition, the victim was immediately shifted to DHQ hospital by the rescue team where he was stated to be out of danger. — Staff Reporter

Two killed separately

ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: Two persons were killed in different incidents in capital, police said on Tuesday.

In the first incident, a man was murdered by his tailor over stitching of clothes for Eid.

The victim – Shah Nawaz – came over to a tailoring shop in Banigala and asked the tailor to stitch his clothes as he was an old customer of him. However, the tailor refused due to great workload.

However, the victim kept demanding to take his clothes which led to an argument between the two and later both had a physical brawl. During the act, the tailor pulled out his pistol and fired at the customer.

As a result, the victim suffered multiple injuries and fell on the ground, bleeding profusely. The tailor escaped from the scene along with the weapon. The victim died at the spot, and later his body was shifted to hospital for legal process.

In another incident, a man was found dead at Bahria Town (BT).

The victim’s wife claimed that her husband Major Babar was murdered by unidentified person(s), but police said he committed suicide.

The incident came to light when the people and a security guard at a store in BT heard a gunshot and rushed to the spot where they found a man lying in a car with a bullet injury at his temple.

Later, police were informed who reached the spot and found a pistol in the hand of the victim. The circumstantial evidence suggested that he had committed suicide by shooting himself.

However, the victim’s wife lodged a complaint with police that her husband went to bazaar to buy grocery but some unknown person(s) killed him. The police registered a case.— Staff Reporter
