KARACHI, Aug 7: Leg-spinner Khurshid Afridi stole show with a superb five-wicket haul as Advance Telecom crushed Maymar Academy by 87 runs to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Trophy Silver Jubilee cricket tournament here at the AKG Ground on Tuesday.

Khurshid captured five for 16 in four overs as Maymar Academy collapsed for 89 in 18.4 overs. Veteran opener Hanif-ur-Rehman was the top scorer with a 26-ball 36 (five fours and one six).

Mohammad Ali Boota (53 off 38 balls, four sixes and two fours) was the mainstay of Advance Telecom batting after his opening partner se the tone with a blistering 15-ball 31 that included three fours and one six.

Also making the last-eight stage of the competition are Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Qasmi Sports after both outfits finished as the ‘best’ losers.
