Man murdered

RAWALPINDI, Aug 3: A man was shot dead by unidentified persons while he was sleeping in his house in mohallah Dar-us-Salam (Tench Bhatta) on Friday, police said.

Aziz Ahmed, 40, a labourer by profession was found shot dead on his bed by his wife when she returned home from hospital on Friday afternoon.

Police said the real circumstances of the murder could be known only after the wife of the deceased was interrogated as police suspect that she is involved in the murder.The body of the victim was removed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for postmortem.—Staff Reporter

Woman killed

TAXILA, Aug 3: A man shot dead his wife over a domestic dispute in village Gharsheen in the limits of Hassanabdal police station on Friday.

Police sources said M.K., a resident   of Darra Adam Khel, married S.B. about 10 years back, and had six children with her. They developed differences some six months ago and S.B. started living with her parents.

On Friday M.K. came to his in-laws’ house to bring his wife back, but became furious when she refused to accompany him. He took out his pistol and opened indiscriminate fire on her and escaped.

The woman was taken to THQ Hospital in Hassanabdal where she was pronounced dead. — Correspondent

Boy assaulted

MURREE, Aug 3: A student of class ten, a resident of Jawa, was sexually assaulted by four persons.

Father of the boy lodged a complaint with police post Sunny Bank Murree. Police have registered a case against the persons. According to the student, they took the boy to nearby forest and assaulted him and later threw him near his house. — Correspondent
