Man wanted in murder case held

KHAIRPUR, Nov 21: Kot Diji police have arrested one Mazhar Chandio in the murder case of Darhoon Khan, president Sindh Mela Committee and Mir Muhammad Chandio, here on Wednesday near Masri Shah. Police claimed that a TT pistol was also recovered from his possession.

It may be recalled that about three months ago the president of Sindh Mela Committee Dharhoon Khan and Mir Muhammad Chandio were gunned down by four armed men on Bakhar-Kanasra road.

DEMO: The villagers and school children of village Mubarak Shar, taluka Kingri, staged a demonstration against the closure of primary school of the area and absentee teachers here on Wednesday.

The representatives of the protesters told that education of the children was badly affected because of absentee teachers.

DEPRIVED: Five unidentified armed men sneaked in to the godown of Ghulam Hussain Arian and deprived the watchman of Rs. 10,000 here on Tuesday night in Kolab Jeal..

DRIVER HURT: Some seven armed men injured a tractor driver Shafi Muhammad Shar and robbed him of Rs 7,000 here on Tuesday night near village Tajal taluka Nara. The inured has been admitted to the local hospital in a critical condition.
