KARACHI, July 31: Two Rangers men were gunned down by assailants in Orangi Town late on Tuesday night.

Police said the killing took place at a restaurant in Aligarh Colony near Banaras Chowk, where sub-inspectors Bahadur and Noorullah were sitting in plain clothes when two gunmen on a motorcycle targeted them and rode away.

The police said the SIs belonged to the intelligence  arm — field security wing — of the Rangers.

The victims were rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Senior Rangers and police officials reached the hospital following the incident.
