ISLAMABAD, Dec 19: The National Council of Social Welfare has donated Rs200,000 to the earthquake affected people of Astore Valley.

The adviser to the Prime Minister on social welfare and women development, Nilofar Bakhtiar, on behalf of council presented the relief cheque to the Chief Executive on Northern Areas, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao on Thursday. The minister appreciated the NCSW’s financial assistance for rehabilitation of the affected people. The PM’s advisor stated that the NCSW had always been assisting the people affected by natural calamities.

The NCSW chairman, Yunus Khan, secretary women development, social welfare and special education Parveen Qadir Agha and secretary/director, Syed Masroor Ahmed Sabzwari were also present on the occasion.
