MANSEHRA, July 29: Two persons were injured and a CD shop was destroyed in a blast here on Sunday.

The bomb, planted at a CD shop, went off when Mohammad Adnan, the owner of the adjacent vegetable shop, pulled the shutter of his shop up to open it. Mr Adnan and a passerby identified as Shahzad were injured in the blast while the shop was destroyed.

Both the injured were taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital from where Mr Adnan was referred to Ayub Medical Complex in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses told journalists that the shop of Mr Adnan caught fire after the blast. The people present on the occasion extinguished the fire and took the injured to hospital, they added.

Police reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area soon after the blast. They also diverted traffic to other route until the Bomb Disposable Squad reached from Abbottabad and defused the remaining explosive devices.—Correspondent
