KARACHI, Dec 19: The third international chemistry conference will be held here from Dec 28 to 31, according to the Vice Chancellor of Karachi University, Prof Zafar Saeed Saifi, on Thursday.

He said that the conference was being organized by the Department of Chemistry, University of Karachi, in collaboration with the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry.

As many as 350 experts from within the country and abroad will take part in the conference which will be inaugurated by the chairman of the Higher Education Commission, Professor Attaur Rehman.

Prof Saifi will preside over the inaugural session of the event which is also the 13th national chemistry conference.

About 200 oral presentations will be made and some 70 posters, in major areas of chemistry and related fields, presented at the moot.

Five plenary lectures will also be delivered on the occasion by the experts.—APP
